Sasken is a niche player in Telecom and Communication Sector somewhat like Subex Systems and the company is very good. Though the quarterly numbers don't look good on the face of it but nine months net profit increased by 40 % (YOY). Just look at the shareholding pattern of Sasken for period ending Dec 05. FIIs like Taib Securities Mauritius Limited holds 4,00,056 shares (1.44 %), India Capital Fund Limited holds 4,17,175 (1.5 %), Carlson Fund Equity - Asian Small Cap holds 3,06,034 shares (1.1 %), Deutsche India Equity Fund holds 2,83,880 shares (1.02 %). Foreign VC Companies like MVC VI FVCI Limited holds 13,00,500 shares (4.68 %) and Indian VC Cos. like IL&FS Trust Co Ltd. A/c. Leverage India Fund holds 4,82,278 shares (1.73 %), Foreign Investors - Nortel Networks Mauritius Ltd. holds 32,28,334 (11.61 %), Foreign Investors - Intel Capital Corporation holds 24,50,000 shares (8.81 %), Foreign Investors - Nokia Growth Partners holds 6,00,000 shares (2.16 %) and Foreign Investors - Intel Pacific Inc. holds 54,000 shares (1.63 %).

Even though valuations are stretched at this point of time, I remain bullish on Sasken.
